Huh? No. But if you are looking at his college career than you take stock in his competition. He went up against a lot of the better tackles in the country.

Not Fournette. He is the only one of the three who could be a true feature back. A team that wants to emphasize the run will snatch him up early.

Otherwise I would go defense.
There are a lot of BPA style guys that can be defensive stars.

If it weren't for Cooks bullshit off the field I would say the same thing about him. Except I want them to go defense regardless. I just think Cook is going to be a stud. Unless he can't get his head on straight.

He’s also more versatile, with an ability to run routes from the slot or out wide. It’s one thing to line up out there; it’s another to run good routes from multiple spots. That’s what separates McCaffrey

When Thompson enters the game, defenses almost always are in a sub package. With McCaffrey, the Redskins could regulate a defense, keeping it in a base look by using a two-tight end, two-receiver set. They could then create mismatches in the passing game with these targets: McCaffrey, tight ends Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis and receivers Jamison Crowder and Terrelle Pryor (or Josh Doctson).

CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler compared McCaffrey to ex-Eagles running back Brian Westbrook. Their dimensions are almost identical (McCaffrey is an inch taller; Westbrook was a pound heavier). Another name that I’ve heard, in terms of how McCaffrey should be used: Reggie Bush. A swiss-army knife back, but perhaps not great as just a runner.

He reminds me of Marshall Faulk in his style: quick cuts, keeps his feet moving, breakaway speed, great receiver. And, no, I'm not saying he is a future HOF'er.

easily the Eagle player I respected most of all time. I would love to get a similar talent on our side.


I think the key with McCaffery is his hands. Having McCaffery motion in and out the backfield is key. Playing the match up game on first and second downs...making the opponents switch d calls frees up guys like Reed and Crowder to wreak havoc in the middle of the field.

I just looked at some Westbrook highlights and I must say McCaffery does indeed strongly resemble Westbrook in his running style.
