No most likely not.

The big issue with brining in a "strong DC" is this jobbisnt appealing to any top candidate right now.

We have little talent, the Head Coach has 1-2 years left in his contract. If he is to get fired, the chances of the DC getting fired is highly likely. So, what prominent DC would want to come here and have 1 maybe 2 years to build a defense that is highly limited talent wise?

Its professional suicide.

We will most likely hire with in. Manusky seems to be the favorite. Add some valuable and experienced position coaches like Tarver and Tomsula.
