Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread

I love how speculation can turn into a hard rumor. People need to back up off the rumor pipe and chill.

Kirk Cousins 365 thread

Bucky Brooks is a stone cold code red baller when it comes to inside information. The Uber Driver too.
No way we are trading our quarterback. If we do I will be forced to root for another team for the next 20 years until we find another good one - as that seems to be the pattern. Come on guys. DO NOT MESS WITH OUR OFFENSE. WE HAVE MONEY AND PICKS TO IMPROVE THE DEFENSE. Even if we take it to halfway decent it should be enough. It would have been enough to win at least 11 freaking games this year!

It doesn't take Bucky Brooks to know that once the season is over and Kyle S. gets the SF job he would want KC if the price is right. Hopefully McC/Gruden set the price extremely high, because I do not feel like wasting another couple seasons grooming another qb. We have filled the hole at qb, pay the goddamn man, set our sights on our shitty defense.

it's starting to feel like we're scared of potentially being a contender. Because if we rebuild the d and have a good coordinator, we could easily take the next step.

So basically the same rumor repeated by a different outlet.

..Sign Cousins to a long term deal and let the 49ers find solutions to their own damn problems...... thats the way to go!

LOL, don't be so upset if Cousins leaves. The Redskins have to work with the bed that they've made for themselves. They did not sign Kirk Last year, and he now wants a top dollar contract.

Redskins brass don't want to pay him a top dollar contract. The best option for the Redskins is to non-exclusively tag Cousins. This works for two reasons... First, if a team signs him to an offer, that team creates a market rate for us to match and keep Kirk long term. Two, if we let him go, we get 2 likely high first round picks.

Lastly if no one bites on Cousins, it takes away some of his leverage and allows us to negotiate a long term deal before the deadline period.

High level negotiations are not for the faint of heart.

Probably at least a dozen teams are going to go after Cousins because literally hardly anybody in the NFL believes that Cousin is going to be a Redskin next season. It shouldn't even be a question at this point "will we let Kirk walk", because that answer should be a resounding "YES". The question now is what are we going to want in compensation for him.

Read a good article and will try and find source to post it, explaining that the Cousins situation is likely sealing the fate of Bruce Allen and Scott M, who are accused of "not doing enough" to try and sway Dan Snyder's opinion on Cousins. Snyder basically does not want him here and isn't really in the mood yet to hear arguments on keeping him. The article concluded that should the Skins do well in finding a stop gap solution at QB while building a solid defense, then Scott and company will be praised as heros, but if they fall on their face when their stopgap fails, you are likely seeing the end of Gruden and his staff, as well as Allen and Scott, which is ironic, because it was Dan that didn't want Cousins anyway, but as always the coaches and staff will bear the blame for his dumb decisions.

Really hard at times to be a fan as long as Snyder owns this team. The truth is he just sucks any fiber of hope from any situation. Here we are on the cusp of signing our first franchise QB since probably Theismann and Snyder is trying his best to F it up.

If the Redskins don't resign Kirk Cousins...F@&K Dan Synder!

Sorry for My bad language...but seriously....screw Dan Synder if he is so stupid to not sign Kirk Cousins to a contract!

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread

I would trade Cousins BUT it would have to be a totally crazy deal..like This years #1,#2,#5 and next years #1#2 and a starting D Lineman ..And nobody would do that...oh crap didn't we almost do that for a unproven Rookie several years ago..That did not turn out so well for either team..best thing to do is Keep Cousins !

The NINERS appear to be the only suitor....I wouldn't trade Cousins though..... He's grown so much in our offense....But Gruden may trust his offense to Colt McCoy to manage games on offense while our improved defense stops the opposing offense...
