Since Cooley made those comments, the Redskins have been asked about them and have chosen to make no comment. If you were a good leader, then either Snyder or Allen would step forward and denounce those comments by Cooley. They're too incendiary to do otherwise.

Having no comment on the matter, and no suspension or discipline of Cooley, is not a good look. While I'd love to think that Snyder, Allen, McC and Gruden have huddled and collectively decided to let this blow by, that's not in-keeping with previous experience. That would be a sign of good leadership. They do not possess that trait.

My concern is high. I believe there truly is smoke.

I feel like he's saying it for the same reason he says other dumb shit, which is ratings. But the conspicuous silence out of Redskins Park is a bad sign. And we know he has connections so there might be some truth to it. We'll see but I don't have a good feeling about this, in between this drama and the Kirk shitshow this has been a bad start to a key offseason where we will either regress or keep getting better.
