Wasn't he the lowest rated DT in the entire league last year?

I can't be more in shock that they would bring that guy back.

Hopefully, he will tear it up this year, but I won't be holding my breath.
Well, the Skins agree with me and PFF agrees with you, so we'll see.

Perhaps you didn't notice this last season, but every time Ziggy was about to make a tackle either Big Swaggy or Ricky-Jean would push him out of the way or trip him so one of them could make the tackle instead. It's true! Would I lie about that just to win an argument?

PFF should have a stat for greedy teammate interference with a tackling opportunity. If they did Ziggy would have been rated much higher.

Im not sold on our Dline being better once the season starts. Im ok with the moves, but Im not so sure they will work out. I think Logan would have been greater addition than both McClain and Stacy.

Right now my feeling on the draft is kinda eff WR and RB, draft Front Seven with the first 2 picks.

I'm also more in favor of drafting need rather than BPA.
But since this draft has a lot of talented DLs, if a promising rb is available at 17, I wouldn't be mad if they pick him, and then find a dynamic DL in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Free agency isn't over though and I'm still expecting a playmaker either at DL or ILB.

Could another Josh Norman situation occur? If so and same caliber, I wouldn't be oppose....as long as it wouldnt prevent us in signing Cousins long term.

I think a guy like Zach Brown could be signed for less money than Norman, couldn't he?

Also keep in mind signing KC long term would save us some cap room next season compared to him playing under the tag for 24M a year...

I doubt that happens because there isn't much left in FA at those positions. The good news is that the draft is loaded with DL prospects and there are enough good ILB prospects that we might be able to get one of them, as well.

I know I'm about to get skewered for this idea, but I think this may be a draft where we should try to move up to the early second round if the right player for us is still on the board. I believe from what I've read that there are more players with first round grades than usual in this draft and many of them are DL's.

I think I'm misusing the word "expecting". I mean I want it to happen, not I think it probably will ...

I put in an order for Hankins and Zack Brown but the FO doesn't seem to be listening to either of us.

I do find it funny that they cut Ricky Jean after he mouthed off about the FO. Why not release the guy weeks ago if you knew you were not going to keep him? It's just seems like more Redskins FO BS.

They, or possibly he (BA), do seem to take everything personally.

Or they were waiting to figure out how things would shake out in the first days of free agency and then decide on any moves with current players. But I'm sure he mouthing off about the FO didn't help.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings

Darius Butler visiting the Redskins... per Jason LaC

Report: Darius Butler is visiting the Bears

Darius Butler, FS for the Indianapolis Colts at NFL.com

And a 82 PFF rating...... he plays CB and free safety. He would be a nice addition, at the right price.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings

DL is too rich especially if the college draft turns out to be anywhere near as good as speculated.
