Re: Cousins 3.0, he's going to sign the franchise tag
I think there's more to this than the skins not paying him - but they sure as hell should put a fair market value contract on the table and make KC the bad guy if he won't sign.

Re: Cousins 3.0, he's going to sign the franchise tag
The NFL Network was saying the same thing.
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/re...171846952.html Report: Kirk Cousins personally asked Redskins owner Dan Snyder to trade him We all know by now that the relationship between quarterback Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins isn’t good. That “How you like me now?” moment last season was telling. Now we have the most definitive news about where everything stands. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that Cousins personally asked Washington team owner Dan Snyder for a trade. Cousins was “basically told not to get his hopes up,” Mortensen reported. We have a standoff.

Re: Cousins 3.0, he's going to sign the franchise tag
Snyder hates the Shanahan's so much that he refuses to do a deal with SF, that's according to sources around here in SF. In a way I can't blame Snyder, Shanahan ruined RGIII for not benching him and haven't his knee torn, he was never the same after that injury.

I think this little diddy hear sums up the melancholy of this whole mess.

Exactly. They must establish the moral high ground or they will appear like completely incompetent morons.
