Even if the oohh shiny guy rates as the better prospect? The draft is a crapshoot even with all the work put in it. Better to pick the guy you think has a higher chance of succeeding in the NFL, regardless of position. If you have two prospects you rated equally and one is a need, then yeah go for it.

I'm not going to get into it because there's only so many ways to say I think this franchise is fucked, but drafting for need over BPA? Add another reason to the list.
