JIC there's any confusion, Trump's father was born in NYC. You can see that from his birth certificate here:



A WaPo writer literally went to the NYC Dept. of Records and dug that up, which was publically available.

Full disclosure, I really debated bringing this up because it's totally insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Trump is a liar, we all (hopefully) know that, with a long history of changing the narrative to serve him (i.e. "I'm fully exonerated" even when his handpicked AG says in his 4 page summary that he's not exonerated on the obstruction of justice charges). But if the guy is willing to lie about something in the public record that is sooooooooo easily verifiable, what else is he willing to lie about?

Thats the difference between me and you Chico. You tow the party line, and will never come out publicly and say you disagree with any Trump decision. He has yet to do anything you seriously disagree with.

I on the other hand am perfectly willing to say H-Rod and Obama absolutely screwed up on Benghazi, initially blaming it on mob unrest when it was a coordinated attack by Al-Qaeda. Obviously they had their own motives for doing so, and in hindsight they made terrible choices when 4 Americans lost their lives in a terrorist attack on foreign soil.

And I also agree that the Fast & Furious gun scandal reflects terribly on the adminstration, but after reading back up on it it seems to reflect poorly more on the ATF than anything for allowing straw-purchased guns to cross the border. It looks bad that Obama invoked executive privilege to protect documents that had been subpoenaed by Congress in the investigation though.

The biggest problem I have with trump is trump. He has reset the conversation and allowed certain things to become kosher.

Clear anti Semiticism opinions are okay now. Stacy Abrams...is allowed to claim she won an election when she clearly lost and even with 100% definition of she lost fair it doesn’t matter, people still believe she won, green new deal would bankrupt the country...somehow people believe it wouldn’t, AOC is allowed to spew lies daily...that’s okay now, Bernie not giving up his tax returns, Jussie smollet is a hero to some, etc

This country is worse now. What can we do? I don’t know, but fighting identity politics is where I would start. We need to realize we are living in the greatest time ever for everyone and we need to move forward together. Fighting one another based on false identity politics will ruin this country....we need to recognize what’s happening. We clearly aren’t and Obama started it and trump has continued it...not good

You must not be in tune with the popular opinion, literally everybody, eeeeeeeeeeeeverybody I know, black, white, gay, straight, hood, suburban, foreign national, thinks Jussie Smollett is an idiot that is guilty as fuck. And the state attorney that let him off obviously did so because someone called in a favor on his behalf. At a minimum he should pay for the cost of the investigation, and then a fine to boot for wasting police resources. Idk that I'd put him in jail for anything more than a few days though.

But if you don't care that there's a clear conflict of interest that her opponent was the guy in charge of setting the rules that disenfranchised POC from voting then I can't help you. I vote in VA using nothing but my drivers license, and that's always been good enough. Making people jump through ridiculous hoops to have their vote count needs to be banned.
