Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Which is what I think will happen, he'll hit the market and go where he wants to go. Might be DC, I doubt it but we will see soon enough thankfully.

agree with a lot of the above post - i have so many mixed feelings about this QB conundrum.

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
if Cousins is not worth a 1st round pick then why in the world would you make him the highest paid Qb ? I would surely think that if we franchised him at least one team would give a 1st round pick for him..why can't the skins sign him for what he wants then turn around and trade him? and if his salary is to much then we overpaid big time. how the hell is this team ever gonna break through when we keep taking steps back? we are getting weaker every year. Is there any scenario where the skins can get compensated with a high draft pick?

Yeah hoping a team gives us a 1 for him, Jets have a high pick but they won't let that go IMO, Browns have 2 top 4 picks... They may but doubtful. Denver? That is the only legit trade partner imo.

I think I'm agreeing that the team will offer Cousins an aggressive offer and if Cousins turns it down, he'll be cut loose to test free agency. We'll see if he chooses to let the 'skins match or not. It's either Denver or NY Jets.

Jets have been rumored to go after him and Bell hard this OS.

But staying healthy is a huge part of it. If you cant stay healthy it doesn't matter how good you are. Durability is the most under-rated and least talked about aspect of KC and IMO its one if his biggest assets.

And as Irish pointed out his ability to stay healthy is a big asset. It's crazy how virtually every body wants him to stay and very few think he will. Says a lot about our FO.

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Denver can only get him through trade. The Browns have two picks in the first and have wasted multiple picks on quarterbacks only to have it not work out, so have the Jets. Arizona pick location makes it difficult to get a blue chip top tier QB, they have also historically preferred veteran quarterbacks. There is an absolutely a market for a trade.
If I am Denver, I would trade that pick for Kirk and not blink an eye. They have everything else in place to be a Superbowl caliber team. Redskins absolutely must pursue a trade. Kirk Cousin has no intention of returning to DC.

I would offer him a solid deal first....if he rejects it tell him he will be franchised but we will seek a trade. There are 5 immediate teams Arizona, Jags, Jets, Browns, Broncos...that will be interested. Start there.

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Kirk to the Jags would be a great fit. He could help make them perennial contenders. IMO, they are a perfect example of a team that could go to the next level and stay there by adding a solid QB.
