Re: Antonio Pierce

I loved Pierce, it's a shame something couldn't have been worked out. He obviously really wanted to be here, but at what cost?

He says in the past free agents have basically robbed the Skins, I'll give him that but the key is the past.

I'm sure we'd all take AP over Marshall straight up, but when you compare the jobs they are doing on the field and what they're making, Marshall is a steal.

AP said it himself, this D will be successful no matter who's at MLB, so why should the Skins have broken the bank on him?

He answered his own question.

Re: Antonio Pierce

I liked Antonio Pierce, mainly because he was a homegrown Redskin who made plays as a special teamer, got his chance to start and performed well at middle linebacker. I don't blame him for taking the money, but I also think the Giants overpaid for him.

Lemar Marshell is an adequete replacement. He's not quite the ball hawk that Pierce was, but he's consistent and runs Williams defense pretty well.
