I mean, it makes sense to talk about Grudens fate as is relates to KC, but just not contract talk I think.

I'll say this, a lot of great coaches share their fate with a great QB, but certainly not all. Cousins has this year to prove it to JG that he is that guy for him. If he does, I think JG moves mountains to keep him, if not, I think JG lets him walk and starts over with a draft pick or maybe a stopgap until a draft pick. I do think Gruden survives KC if he leaves after this year.

My opinion in part comes from what Jon Gruden was saying about Cousins before and during the game. Essentially that he is good but not great ... yet. That he CAN be great, but will he? I guarantee that the two have talked about the most important player on the team, and I'm sure Jon is well aware of his feelings about him. Which goes back to why Jay is the man and the best HC we've had in decades. He's a good talent evaluator and you either perform or you don't play for him.
