Re: Heartbreak City: Redskins-Saints Postgame Thread
When a team can outplay another team except at crucial moments of the games it says a whole lot about a coaching staff. This team consistently gets beat at the end of halves. It consistently gets beat in crucial moments. That is on both sides of the ball. You can lay some of that on players choking, but most of it is coaching or putting said players in a position to SEAL THE MOTHERFUCKING DEAL. Gruden not only has no ability to seal the deal but his playcalling is straight garbage. It is absolutely mind boggling to me that with a half a yard to go to win a game you are not sneaking it or handing it off straight up the fucking middle. Hey Gruden the shortest distance between two points is a straight fucking line. Holy shit. He should be fired tonight. Let Manusky take over as interim.

The team should have gotten the half yard. At the NO 35 the team should have been running not throwing. But I'm still not a fan of blowing up the team at this point . |

I said as interim. Of course he is not the long term answer. |

What I really want to see is if Gruden can put away any of these teams coming up. We should beat all of them by comfortable margins. Losing, even in the most gut wrenching fashion to the one of the top 3 teams in the league just isn't worth throwing out the head coach. |

Comfortably might be pushing it. Lol. It isn’t all about today. Today was just the straw that broke the camels back imo. He made at-least 3-4 calls down the stretch and in OT that were just wrong. Not in retrospect, but in any spect. It is a recurring pattern for him. Getting away from things that work. Being cute when you do not have to be. Making things more difficult than they have to be. I do not think he will be fired during the season just because it doesn’t happen often. I can say comfortably that if we do not make the playoffs he will be fired in the off season. You know Danny boy is as pissed off as we are. This one was just unimaginable. |
