Re: Bigg Thicc Turkey Leg Giants - Redskins Postgame Central

Clock management is not Cousins strong point and his HC/OC is a complete bafoon at it. Bad combo.

Cousins needs a HC that is a master of those things, not Curly from The Stooges.

That 4th down punt, go for it, delay of game, punt fiasco was unacceptable. That type shit can kill you in games not against N.Y.

That Cousins throw to Doctson was sexy though. That was an awesome football play by those 2.

Listening to 980 on the way home from the DC area this morning the issue was explained and it wasn't on Cousins. The go for it play called for a 3 tight end set and Vernon Davis had injured his foot and was on the sidelines with his shoe off. Somehow neither Gruden or Cousins knew what was up with Davis.

I thought Cousins was on point for most of the game. Also, Happy Thanksgiving you filthy animals.

Wow, our remaining schedule is DAL, LAC, ARI, DEN, and NJG. All sub .500 teams. I bet we drop about half those games, but if we sweep them, I guess a playoff game we get slaughtered in is better than no playoff at all.

On a happier note, hope everyone is having a fun and safe Thanksgiving weekend!

I pretty sure the skins either have or will end up with the hardest schedule in the league

They showed the graphic last night, the first part was the toughest in the league, the 2nd part is the easiest. However I don’t think anything is easy considering all the injuries.

Dallas is in a freefall, not saying it won’t be a tough game but they sure are riding the struggle bus lately

Whew and it’s great to see all the talking heads have to back track on Dak. He looks like pure shit. Dez Bryant is basically collecting a check now. His boy Romo threw in the towel.

No doubt it will be a tough game...but these sharks on defense will be circling.

We won't win out, just don't expect that and maybe we'll be surprised. I still say 8-8 or 9-7 . We'll lose a close game again somewhere down the line.

1st Christmas presents were for myself. Just ordered a new Skins shirt and hat from fanatics.com.

The advertisement banner for that site is already on top of this site on my tablet. Technology is crazy.

Did what they had to. I don't think the gints d is all that bad, so given our patchwork line, no Reed, no Thompson, no fat rob, etc., short week and all--that's a good win for the O. Cousins sacked 6 times but hit the ones he had to down the stretch. Crowder and Perine played nice. And JDoc made the big catch.

The D was strong but, man, NY does not have an offense at all. We did what we were supposed to.

Special props to my man Morgan Moses. Playing with bad ankles and the pile just fell on his ankle. Ouch. Toughing it out all year. He's become a cornerstone guy. And diggin the turkey postgame!

(I'm actually pretty inspired by how everyone has been stepping up with all the injuries. For the in-game bonehead shit that Jay pulls (and I'm generally pro-Jay), he does have the team fighting.)

Eli is completely and utterly immobile and he gets exposed for it when routinely pressured. His rhythm looked off, and having WRs who don’t know where to make their breaks obviously has something to do with that. But the Skins got to him pretty good and I think he rushed a few throws.

He’s a guy that needs a great team around him, they just don’t have it this year.

A big thumbs up to our second-best receiver yesterday: Quinton Dunbar.

Watching him catch those punts on the fly just outside the goal line was awesome.

Re: Bigg Thicc Turkey Leg Giants - Redskins Postgame Central

Anybody else think that our scrub Olineman might be better at run blocking than our starters? I've always felt that our starting line is at elite levels for pass blocking, but average to sucky at run blocking.

Could be a number of reasons why Perine earned 100 2 weeks in a row, but the holes were pretty big.

Still, it could be that the Saints and Giants are 20th and 30th in the league in rush defense, and most likely that's the biggest factor. Which, still is a good sign considering that our biggest challenge from here is the Chargers who are ranked 31st.

Dallas is 17th, and they'll game plan for him some this week, so we might get a better idea of what we have in Perine. It's encouraging though that when he's finally gotten the touches that he has performed. I hope he keeps his streak going next Thursday.

I think it's been such a long time since our starters have all been in the line-up and healthy that it's hard to compare. There probably are guys on the line that seem to excel in the run blocking game better than pass blocking, but I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Perine is starting to settle in a bit and showing us what he can really do. If Perine continues to improve, then I think we'll all see that he is light years ahead of Fat Rob.
