Poor planning.
Redskins put themselves in this position. |
You made it sound like Redskins were supposed to solve everything in one off season. It's like asking president to solve all issues within one year...
No, I don't think every issue can be solved every off-season but this particular problem has been present at least several years. Has fixing LG been last on the list for the last three years in a row? If so, please don't tell me because I still have fond memories of HOF'er Russ Grimm. As for the President, he could at least get rid of that orange caterpillar on his head, couldn't he? |

As for the President, I was talking about presidents in general, not the current one.. At the rate we are going today, it's likely things will get worse and next new president will have to take on massive responsibility to fix things. Let's just leave it that way since this isn't the place to discuss about politics. |

Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
There are definitely comparable players to Arie Kouandjio available currently in free agency. Keep in mind this is us losing a replacement-level player. No impact on our 2018 season. Vegas will not adjust any of our odds one iota because of this.

Are there any good LG that might be available for trade?

Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Joe Berger just retired but Jahri Evans G and Brian Schwenke C still are available and have solid PFF grades, so I'm sure we could find solid 1 year solutions via FA, do not see the need to give value away.
I'm getting a bit scared they're confortable with Lauvao starting... I sure hope either Nsekhe or Sean Welsh steals the starting job!

Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Time to watch Shawn Lauvao perform like the worst LG in the league....again. Kujo had the best chance to unseat him and start.
Welp, maybe one of our 5, 6, 7?, udfa interior olineman can step up. Watching the post june cut list, but we could have easily gotten a serviceable vet guard to come in provide a presence in free agency. |

Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Way too much crying over the LG in May. Of all the positions in the NFL this has to be one of the most dime a dozen guys. Sure there are some elites, but we weren't paying any elite guard when we have 2 elite and 2 strong players on the line already. Our line, when TW and Scherff are healthy is dominant, just look at the running stats behind those guys. Not losing any gray hairs to a weaker guard next to TW, none, zero, zilch.

Our Oline has been collapsed in both run and pass blocking from the defense lining up over the LG and C on a consistent basis for the last 2 years. Im saying its a problem |
