And that's why they are (dare I say it on this thread?) morons, because winning is sexy and he can help us win. Is he a HOF QB? Maybe not, but is he better than anyone we've had in a couple of decades? Absolutely. Relying on the draft here is completely rolling the dice that you'll do better, and that hasn't exactly worked for us, even with 1st round picks (see, e.g., Shuler, Ramsey, Campbell, RGIII). Offer him a fair contract that says we want him to stay, and negotiate responsibly. If it works out, great. If not, you did what you had to do having made the decisions you've made for the last two offseasons which you now cannot change.

Maybe I'm getting old and I've never been part of an NFL front office but what I think is sexy and will bring the fans back is winning. Not some flashy kid who lights it up in college and can barely see over the line in the pros.
