He’s flat out lost in zone coverage at times. Cooley broke this down all year.

I think it was the 2nd Giants game where Cooley was almost laughing over how lost he was in space, it was an issue all year

Yeah he's had more than his share of flat out blown coverage. Even in man coverage.

I agree with Schneed: his speed SHOULD allow him to be a decent cover LB though.

The way I see it, part of it is not studying the play book enough (ie a TD he allowed against the Eagles where it's man, he's responsible for the back, he starts rushing the QB and then, as the back goes by him you can basically hear him go "Oh fuck fuck fuck that was my guy" as he turns back) and the other part is keying the eyes of the QB too much, to a point where he'd end up in someone else's zone because the QB was looking that way, and not see the wide open receiver in his zone (I remember this very clearly from the Chiefs game but that was often the case).

If I could see it on my computer with the gamepass, I guarantee staffs and QBs from other teams did too and knew how easy it was to look Zach Brown off a receiver in zone coverage.

I'm thinking this had to be one of the reasons the Bills let him walk last year.

But he has the skills to overcome this, and still was one of our best players on D.

I definitely want him back!

What Matty said, but also, TEs killed us all year. In theory, with his size and speed, he should be able to, but he must not see it or have the technique or something. Can you give an example of a TE he covered well?
