The Eagles would be crazy to let Foles leave without anything in return, the guy just won you a SB and was the MVP, He was arguably as good as Wentz.

Good chance Wentz may not be ready to go week 1 so they could wait to deal Foles during the season

There was talk he would take a team friendly deal as he may feel the Eagles give him the best overall situation right now.

Being that the Eagles are way over the cap, I'm not sure what deal they could offer Foles at all.

Yes. The point is, I think they HAVE to deal Foles at some point, because it would be a Dan Snyder move to keep him until the end of 2018 and let him just walk.

Of course, as a Redskins fan, I'm fine with that. The Eagles are way over the cap and will have to cut players, so keeping Foles would just put more pressure on them. Not to mention the fact that they just let Frank Riech go to the Colts as their new head coach. I think the Eagles will find just how hard it is to repeat.

The NFL will have to change that up, QB's making 30M a year will cripple your team.

People thought the same thing when QBs hit the $20m mark, and then $25m. Bottoms line is salaries will keep increasing in line with the cap.

Re: Around the NFL Off season thread 1.0

An elite qb is worth 30 million with the additional revenue that player brings to the franchise and the couple games a season he puts team on his back and drags them to victory. You can figure out the cap around him. Neither apply to KC. So we made move for a similar qb that allows us to sign/resign guys to put around him.

What a breathe of fresh air...

AJ McCarron wins grievance against Cincinnati Bengals, will be unrestricted free agent

Sounds like the exact opposite of what I'm use to hearing.

Y don't they give other people a shot? It always has to be former players
