Doug Pederson: If Carson Wentz were healthy, he would’ve been Super Bowl MVP – ProFootballTalk

Possibly but dont take away from Foles moment, that dude was amazing in the SB, maybe the best QB performance we have seen in years. Like I've said all along, its the system they have and with the recent report of Wentz wearing a brace the rest of his career I don't think I'd let Foles leave just yet.

The #Chiefs will receive a package of draft picks from the #Rams in exchange for CB Marcus Peters. They are focusing on the final part of the deal right now. But it’s getting done.

Man, the Chiefs are having a great offseason so far:

-they freed 17M in cap space by trading a QB whose replacement they already have

-they picked up a great CB in Kendall Fuller. And a 3rd rounder

-and now they get "multiple picks" for a CB whose replacement they already have

Well played.

Getting rid of two "Pro bowl" caliber players for unknowns, lets wait before we call this a "great off season".

Yeah that may have been a little of an over statement ^^

But I really like how their 2 trades complete each other.
They get good value back without creating any holes on their roster.
You can argue they downgraded a bit on both position, but they still have solutions.

Plus apparently Peters didn't want to stay long term and they had issues with him.

So in both cases they get really good value for players they wouldn't have kept 2 years from now.

At the beginning of this part of today's show, Cooley and Kevin talked about the Peters trade and compared it to the way our FO handle the KC situation: he doesn't want to be here, you don't like him a lot (right or wrong), get value for him while you can. Smart.
And they said that thinking the Rams only gave up a second, while it might be several picks...

Maybe it will.
I wonder how much of a choice they had once the guy they gave up a 1st and a 3rd to move up 17 spots in the draft to get was perceived to be a potential starter though.

With all the Alex Smith haters and the talk about him being a game manager, once Patrick Mahomes delivered when asked, they weren't going to keep Smith very long, so getting value for him while they could was smart. And they got pretty good value for him.
