The reason to care about not getting a LTD done two years ago (or even least year) is, would have been a lot cheaper than tagging so freed up cap space, and we wouldn't have had to give away next draft's 3rd rd pick and Fuller for an equivalent though older QB.

Getting back a 3rd and a player now would just break even, and that doesn't count the extra $, and drama, and uncertainty building an offense around Kirk meantime.

And all this the result of a QB we drafted actually becoming good. It's like our FO can't even handle success.

At least we aren't making Kirk run conditioning drills to prove he's in shape for contract reasons, like Haynesworth. (yet)
