Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
Quote:
I had about three or four players from the Redskins — who don’t dislike Kirk Cousins — literally reach out to me during the season while I was on this show saying to me he can play, but don’t go by his numbers always,” Smith said on Tuesday, via*Dan Steinberg of The Washington Post. “Because, they said, there had been many occasions where we’ll be down, or we’re struggling, and what he will do is pad his numbers, calling certain plays in concert with the offensive coordinator, putting himself in a position where his numbers look good even if it’s not necessarily the right play that could help us get stuff done.” https://www.all22.com/washington-red...lays-pad-stats *Go back and watch some of Cousins’ performances*in 2016. What you’ll find is a quarterback enjoying clean pockets, throwing to wide open receivers and struggling mightily when those luxuries aren’t afforded to him. Cousins is very much a product of the system Scot McCloughan and Jay Gruden have so brilliantly crafted. He doesn’t transcend the system like the truly great quarterbacks we have in this league*— the Bradys, Rodgers and Lucks. If anything, Cousins has held a stacked offense back with*his aversion to taking risks. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/03/wash...rancisco-49ers Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |
