HAHAHAHAHA Grillz! That's exactly what I did to one of my friends who came down to visit. He had his collar popped and a cowboy hat on (he's about as northern as they come) and I was like, "You're not allowed in my house until the hat is off and the collar is fixed." He laughed.

I was serious.

Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!

personally, I don't care how my friends dress, but I think they know that they will be mocked profusely (there is a 3% chance I spelled that correctly, but I don't care) when they are around me.

I had a party a couple of years ago and we were all hanging out in the basement. One of my friends comes down the stairs, all fashionably late adn whatnot, in a REALLY tight red sleeve-less t-shirt. The kid was a baseball player too, so he was rockin' the farmer's tan like you wouldn't believe. As soon as he came into view I lost it. There was pointing, laughing, hitting other people so that they would look faster/laugh too, I believe I threw a beer can. The kid goes, "alright," turned around and left. About 15 minutes later he came back wearing a normal shirt and no one said a word to him about the earlier incident.

I feel like you have to know that you look like a douchebag when you leave the house.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. If you have to THINK about it when you're getting dressed, you can probably rest assured that you're going to get made fun of.

Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!

I think my sister's new boyfriend could be a collar popper. This could be a problem.

I want to get this shirt. I think I'd wear it over a polo shirt with a popped collar sticking out, just to be ironic.

This is seriously no joke: I was at Best Buy yesterday, and some douche was wearing a polo with it buttoned all the way up and the collar popped. I almost knocked him out right then and there.

Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!

Maybe it's my huge bias against duke, but I imagine that place to be the most collar-popped of all the schools on the east coast.

I think Duke may have people that pop collars, but I just think the stereotype is overdone.

No i think UVA would compete with Duke for the collar popping... UVA outdoes duke though with the dressing up for football games

I would disagree because there are def distinct crowds in UVa. Compared to Duke, UVa has alot more minorities and alot less rich people at the school. For example, first year dorms, old dorms, were generally white, rich, popped collars. New dorms, were more minorities, whites, lower income, everyone else. The old dorms crowd usally hangs together, while other people chill in their own groups. It really depends who u see, know, and where you hangout on campus.

In regards to the football games, its less collar popping and more dressing up. Girls: sundress, guys: slacks shirt tie. I am sure you all have heard, it is traditional to dress up for the football games. Back in the day it was a social event and the guys would bring dates to football games. UVa isnt the only school that dresses up, I want to say Alabama but I could be wrong, but other southern schools do as well. First couple times I went to games I was def like wtf is this, but I have gotten over it. Coach Al Groh has started this "orange fever" thing with t-shirts and stuff, to make the crowd more intimidating, so now less people dress up. Regardless, I actually think that people dressing up thing is somewhat refreshing, because its different and traditional. Now people dress up to games, and get hammered, so that is the real fun. I honestly could care less if the person next to me is dressed up, as long as she/he is a UVa fan and we are both hammered I am happy.

I think alot of times people go to the games and are shocked because they have never seen anything like that, or they know the local preppie guy who went to UVa and is a total douche, but there are def alot of people that are diff. Like 90% of my dorm would not fall into that popped collar group, just an example.

Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!

I'll agree with Hail2theskins. Last time I went up to UVa for a football game, it was collar-popping central.

Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!

Next UMD game I go to, aside from getting so hammered that I can't tell how bad the team will be without VD (hehehe), I think I'm gonna pop my collar just to see how long it takes my dad to slap me on the back of the head and demand that I fix it.
