I still think, unless Minnesota gets in a bidding match with the Jets that his contract will end up around Garrapolo money. When push comes to shove the Jets and Denver both will go with the cheap top draft pick. In fact Arizona even being in the picture might even show that the agent isnt seeing the numbers he wants.

Also a throw away line in the article says KC isn't overly concerned with the way the money is structured because he's made so much the last two years would seem to be a reducing of expectations since original rumors were that the Jets were going to throw a ton up front.

I've never been a part of the "Kirk is going to the highest bidder" camp for obvious reasons. The money is going to come regardless, I think he'd easily trade being the top paid quarterback in exchange for having the chance to win a championship. If that means his deal mirrors Garropolo's or it's even slightly less' I think he would do it.
