I think they see him as not only their starter at FS, but a potential game changer. I think they have no plans whatsoever to pay for a starting caliber safety. And I agree with it, personally. After the Raiders and Chiefs games last year I was on here saying he’s the best FS we’ve had since Sean. He covers ground, and it frees up DJ to attack. The team would be wise to shore up depth. I’m not satisfied with Everett as the backup and I still assume Cravens will be dealt. But I don’t think we need a starter I think Montae is our future and so do they.

1. We have 2 big ?s at slot and outside corner. Yes we have Moreau, Dunbar, Holsey, and Sua but not one of them has shown starter ability consistently. 2. Nicholson, Swearinger, and Norman are a strong starting group, but what are the chances that all 3 stay healthy all year? IDK bout anyone else, but to me this is an area that I think we need another viable starter or it could become one of our weaker units quickly. Another starter and it's a strength with Tashkent developing. I'm not sure either DRC or OS are more than serviceable veteran depth and leadership. I think if they come in we'll potentially see them help early as rotational vets but struggle when asked to play more snaps due to injuries and the young guys being forced to take a large volume of snaps before they're ready. Another strong starter would likely lead to a smoother transition. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Moreau was a rookie, can't expect him to show consistent starter play in his first season. I like the fact that they have confidence in him. He's a 2 round pick. I would have kept Breeland especially at 8M/y (and maybe his infection ends up making him sign here for a lot less), but Moreau was drafted to start. Except a veteran on a cheap deal, I wouldn't sign any DBs. We have a strong group. And a healthy DL, improved by either a signing or a pick, will help our D overall. Any thoughts on a guard we could sign? Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
Based on Redskins's activities; my best guess is they are monitoring Lauvao's situation, potential cuts by other teams and draft. I don't expect us to sign best available guard in free agency. In the end, I think they will resign Lauvao to 1-2 years contract and draft a guard (any round) to compete in training camp.
