Re: Looking at the draft.

Do we have a combination of 8 open spots/guys to replace or should we package some picks to move back up in the draft?

Generally, I think you bring in the 8 guys. Between practice squad guys, diamond in the rough guys, and guys that looked good, but didn't cut it, the more bodies you bring in, generally the more likely to find the good ones.

BUT

If you see a guy in the mid 3rd that you had a 2nd round grade on, then by all means jump up to get him

Yeah, usually you trade up for a certain guy like described and I'm not really sure exactly how the draft pick points work. But I wouldn't be opposed to trading a 4th and a 5th to move back up into the 3rd round. Or like a 5th and 6th to get another 4th rounder. Either way, draft is less than a month. I'm ready.

you say less than a month, I say a whole freakin' month LOL

We are going to hear so much rumor, hyperbole and just plain idiocy for 4 weeks. Wish they would move it up by 2 weeks, then let teams practice sooner too. Then start training camp earlier, and shrink preseason, and kick off the whole season a month or two earlier, and extend it for a month or two as well.

I HATE THE OFF SEASON!!
