Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft

BTW

Alex was 2-0 vs the NFCE, 6-2 against the NFC.

Now the team is 0-2 vs the NFCE...

Obviously he was doing something right...

You are so on Smith's nuts.. lol. Those wins were not because of him. So you think he had anything to do w/ beating Tampa? Our record would still be the same if he was still playing. He will be on the roster but he is not the future here at all.

I'm not on his nuts , I'm just stating facts. The team was good when he was the QB. U can't deny that. 6-3 was a damn good start. Then it all went to hell. I pray Alex Smith retires and we don't eat that cap hit. If he retires but clears the physical, we won't get hit but if he retires due to injury we will.

The way he was playing it would have eventually evened out. Like I said, if he was still healthy we'd still be 6-6.

Idk man, we had a shot last night but no QB killed us. Ultimately none of that matters ant this point

Grier for me but I'd take any of the top 4 guys.

Herbert
Grier
Haskins

All are solid guys that have good upside

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft

We need to throw bodies at the QB position right now.

Can't keep both Alex and Colt.
We need at least two young guys on this roster to backup Alex.

Probably gonna have to. Smith won't be ready until training camp if we're lucky. Colt is probably back for off season stuff, who else is going to run OTA and mini camps? Sanchez?

Good point but those reps are better for a guy who has a future on the team.
Hopefully our new coach will know a guy.

The new coach should bring in a backup qb from whatever system he is running.

Sure, if a coaching change happens. I just don't know who is going to want to come here and clean up this shit. I'd probably ride with Gruden one more year.

Gregg Williams.

Narcissist, sociopath, extraordinaire.

No way. He gone! But an actual GM needs to be put in place 1st. Say you give Kyle Smith the GM position, who is respected around the league, lose Bruce Allen, and propose to draft a QB in 2019, job becomes a lot more desirable.

Gruden needs to be gone, but other things need to happen 1st. Hes like the last piece of the puzzle.

So we'll probably do the exact opposite.
