Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
When i watched Dallas the other night that D was fun as hell to watch. They fly to the ball and don't miss tackles. Something we started out doing, then shit went downhill for some reason, maybe they got tired of carrying the team but that shows the lack of fight those guys have, as DJ has pointed out many times after losses.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
I would love G. W. back as the Defensive Coordinator, but not so much as the head coach. I think his brash personality can work for the defensive side of a football team, but when things go south players don't respond to that kind of coaching anymore.

Agree. I'd love to keep him and I really believe he's better than most here will admit, but I think there's gonna be another team who's willing to pay him more than we will.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
If the season was to end today, I would part ways with Norman and Reed. Recoup a chunk of that cap space, we will need it since Smith will take like $15-16 of that room. I would offer Iodannis an extension, resign Preston, cut McPhee and Foster.

To expensive? Dude won't be a starter next year. That's a damn near guarantee but I worry Gruden has a personal vendetta against me and might resign him. |

Appears the fans are fed up with this shit and they should start the FIRE BRUCE stuff much like what got Vinny canned. Time for a clean house. I mean the entire house, including Doug Williams. https://sports.yahoo.com/redskins-sl...233132629.html Eric Schaffer is about the ONLY person I would remotely consider keeping.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Smith needs to walk, he is too inconsistent and hes slow. No thanks on keeping him.
Reed needs to go away too, he's always hurt and all of the sudden drops passes.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
I wish Dan would make himself more accessible to the media. Every year Steve Bisciotti does a State of the Ravens Press Conference. He makes a statement on what the season was, the strengths and weaknesses of the team, the coaching staff and the FO and what the expectations are for the next year. Then he and Eric DeCosta/Ozzie Newsome answer questions.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
While I don't think we're the most talented team in the NFL, we're also not the worst by any stretch of the imagination. Even in our decimated state there is still some talent on the field. Our biggest issue is with coaching and discipline.
Our team was excited to show what it could do early in the season but once contact started and injuries mounted, they have wilted. That's a culture issue. The coaching staff is responsible for that first and foremost. You have to make the coaching change to a hard ass, pronto. But I wouldn't cut every player. Maybe a few, especially those who don't represent a culture of toughness. Reed would have to be on that list for me. I want a coach who emphasizes that the most important ability is availability.
