Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

Cooley seriously needs to catch on somewhere as an assistant and start working his way up. Assuming he wants to give up his cushy gig in the booth.

I don’t think Cooley wants to coach. I think he wants a front office job. When the broncos, 49ers, and now raiders have hired talking heads with no front office experience as actual GMs, it’s not unreasonable to think Cooley could get a job as a director of college scouting or something somewhere.

I think I know where you're coming from with this comment, IIRC he said he wanted a FO job when he was with Kevin on the radio... but IMO he was kinda joking and saying he wanted the job that pays more.

But listen to his last podcast episode, where he plays HC and evaluates what worked and didn't worked this season, and tell me this man wouldn't LOVE to coach:

Well, another 24 hours have passed. The silence from Washington continues

We may not hear anything until next week, unless Snyder decides he wants to announce a move tomorrow or Sunday to take attention off the wildcard games.

Compared to the current mess, i long for the good ole days of staying up all night on the eve of free agency tracking redskins one and hoping it was on its way to pick up the big name marquee guys like Albert Haynes worth.

Reading that article made me want to play Madden again. I haven't played in months.

I play on my phone here and there but on a console its been years.

As for this article, I agree with you guys on going out and getting a Superstar player like AB. Its just not going to happen, that was the OLD redskins, this is a new regime but unfortunately it still sucks either way. Lets think about the lack of big name signings since Haynesworthless..

We have built through the draft like we all desperately begged for and.... We still suck so Its pretty much a lose lose situation.

I’m ok with trading up in the draft but I’m not interested in another RGIII type of deal

We pick 16th, Haskins and Grier will be gone by 10 most likely. So a trade up is needed and I doubt the team will do so again. So I'd imagine they roll with Colt until Alex returns. Basically we will start out like 2-4 at best. Gonna be a long yr folks unless Crazy shit changes

I wouldn't rule out a trade into the top 10

for one of these QBs? Why?

I don’t understand drafting a first round QB this year (in a weak qb class) when Alex Smith May be back later in the year or in 2020.... or are you assuming Alex smith is never playing again?
