Whatever the speculation is with Cooley when it comes to coaching or front office, etc., he needs to come in and earn his stripes. Assistant to something. Skins do themselves zero favors bringing in old skins into influential positions. It’s not a good look.
If anything the Skins need to bring in guys from successful orgs to show them how to run a competent front office. Eric Schaffer seems to be the only guy who has earned his way and has done a good job. People say Kyle Smith...I just don’t know what he has actually done. There is a list of guys outside the org who have clearly earned a chance to be GM...I’d like us to go this route. Cooley, Doug Williams, Bruce Allen, Kyle Smith...not exactly the group of people who I believe can get it right.
