Re: Some questions from Germany
GuyFromOverThere,
Nice to have support from so far away. I had a university professor who played in the German pro football league (american, not soccer). I don't recall the team, but he was a quaterback. He said it was distracting because for the years he was playing (probably late 80s early 90s) they used to put the commentators' remarks on the loud speakers, so the players could hear what they were saying. He would make a bad pass and immediately hear the criticism from the announcers. Pretty funny. I'm also a soccer fan, DC United around here, and Boca from when I used to live in Argentina. Going to any World Cup games? Wish I could be in Germany next summer. |

Re: Some questions from Germany
Firstly I´m glad to read that noone here likes Bayern Munich
![]() @CooleyAsCanBe The few Games I could watch live where with a "crowd" of about 200 people and the commentator was quiet except when he asked for gifts for the Team. I won´t watch games at the World Cup live in the Stadium, because only a third of all tickets is sold to fans and not sponsors etc. and I wasn´t able to get one. But I´m watching about 40 games live per year, so it doesn´t hurt me that much. Oh, and my question again... does anyone have some sound files from the fans on FedEx Field? Just to get a little impression. If wanted, I could send some "stadium impressions" from Kaiserslautern, too. A little picture impression for the beginning... :headbange It´s from the game 1. FC Kaiserslautern - FC Barcelona, 06. Nov. 1991 ![]() |

Re: Some questions from Germany
Hi im a Skins fan for 23 years here in UK. Am Tottenham fan from the Premiership go to most games, and Dc United fan. NFL is getting really popular in UK again after it fell away a bit in middle 90s. The world cup is like the superbowl to many tickets go to suits not the fans
