Charley C said this morning, dealing with Scott Boras is not ideal at all. Huge negative...even though money is slotted...trying to find K Murray true intentions and whether he loves the game is gonna be the challenge.

Yeah I heard him on the Dan Patrick show last week...he sounds like he has no clue what he wants to do. Dan asked him lots of questions, and was nice about it...and his comments made him sound dumb. I get he's not tipping his hat yet, but he had zero response, he could've been much nicer/sharper and just said I'm not going to answer that at this time but he just sat there silent...like he was caught off guard by the questions. I know it has nothing to do with his play on the field...but it was a negative vibe in my opinion.

When it comes to Murray, this is not being talked about enough. He was able to convince the Oakland A's enough of his commitment to baseball that they spent the 9th overall pick in the draft on him.

If he now chooses to play football, can we really trust any assurances he gives the team? What's to keep him from changing his mind?

If he plays in the NFL, then the Oakland A's would have wasted an incredibly valuable pick on him and get nothing back in return. And if he's drafted by the Redskins but then later changes his mind, then we could have wasted our 1st round pick (or more, if we moved up to get him) on him and get nothing back in return.

There is NOTHING about Kyler Murray as a player that makes me think he's a "sure thing" to be worth of what it would cost to draft him. But when you add the "commitment" issues into the mix, he's just far too risky. There are some teams in the NFL that are positioned to take that kind of risk. We aren't one of them. Due to the Smith injury and cap hit, we don't have the luxury of swinging for the fences with our top draft picks and hoping for the best. We strong, safe picks.

I honestly think his value is not in the 1st rd.....he has dynamic play making ability but he lacks the physical measurables to be taken anywhere in the 1st rd...he's an early to late 2nd round pick at best....

Because of his small size and his severe lack of bulk he's an accident waiting to happen just like RG3....

And if Murray isn't drafted in the first, he has no immediate financial reason to play football instead of baseball.
