With Smith gone, I really don't see why JG hasn't been signed. Doesn't make sense

Of course it does, he was a Scott Mc. player, Bruce is petty enough to hold that grudge

That is not a logical conclusion. MC was gone last year. We offered him a 2 year, 10M contract and he declined to sign it hoping he could get a better deal elsewhere. Then 31 other teams, many of whom need edge rushers, declined to make him an offer and he missed the entire 2018 season.
