1. I don't know if this line is original with John Riggins but that is where I heard it first:

Minor groin surgery = groin surgery they do to somebody else.


2. Kordell Stewart is now and always will be a mediocre QB. Ken Dorsey is now an unknown quantity because he has not yet played in the NFL, but it will tell you a whole lot about him and his future if he can't beat out someone like Stewart on the depth chart. My opinion is that Dorsey is useless as an NFL QB because he does not have the minimum arm strength needed to do the job. But until he plays a while and stinks on the field, that is merely an opinion.


3. If multiple teams are ainterested in Collins, the Niners may not be able to afford him in their "cap-strapped state". It is unlikely that Stewart will be in the middle of an intense bidding war for his QB services.
