Re: What kind of production does Doctson need in 2019 to stay on them team ?
McLaurin has had a tremendous training camp by all accounts. He was held out of the PS game #1 like all the other starters ( as were Richardson and Doctson). He’s in the top 3 slots at WR right now.
Quinn was “penciled in” at slot by Gruden early in TC. He’s had a very good camp and caught one pass in the first game. Cam Sims has had an excellent camp and caught one pass. Harmon also has done well for a rookie. Davis caught a broken play TD and couple other passes, as well a recovering from a bad injury. Very good TC. Kidsy caught the most passes in game one. Point being that the WR group is VERY much improved over last year. Doctson will not be able to sit and under-produce as usual for him. He’s getting way too much pressure from below in TC and in the PS games. I think he gets passed up in the next few weeks and is let go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quote:
Quinn already has the slot receiver spot "pretty much locked down," head coach Jay Gruden told reporters Tuesday. "When it's time to catch the ball, he's going to make the play and get separation," Gruden said of Quinn. "I think he has shown that ability the time that we've had him here." Is that enough for me to conclude that Quinn has "locked down" the slot job? |
