Ironically, if Trent was showing up and being a malcontent or actually speaking to the media (instead of using JLC as his mouthpiece) about the situation, he'd probably have more leverage. Or if he was playing on the franchise tag.
But as I said before, as long as he is not showing up and keeping quiet, he is not putting any pressure on the team to do anything.
