It came across as a shot at CT whether he intended it to or not. And CT isn’t someone deserving of the swipe. Loved BM as a player and respect a lot of what he says. But not this.

I agree with this.

CT tried to defend his coach and ended up getting Jay roasted.

Will Compton agreed with CT. So did Bram Weinstein for what its worth. If you read the actual twitter thread and responses, seems like B Mitch got roasted (although I dont think anyone got roasted).

If you read Haskins quotes, he is totally on board and says all the right things.

Why is the media making it seem like back ups get 1st team reps during the week when 0 to very few teams do that? why is the media making it seem like its only the Skins and Jay Gruden that dont give 1st team reps to backups?

To gin up some drama where there is none? Now CT and the players are talking about it and Haskins is getting asked about it.

Media and B Mitch creating drama where there is none on this fake statement that backups get 1st team reps on other teams ... when all indications are they dont. backups get 2nd team reps and scout duties .. just like Haskins is getting.

Thinking about it more ... fuck B Mitch. He cant admit he is wrong so he double and triples down on it.

Maybe but this team has needed to move on from Gruden for years and if BMitch and other ring of honor vets have to remind players of what winning coaches do to actually be winning coaches then so be it.

My questions is ... can we get names of these successful coaches who do it that support b mitch’s Claim?

So far CT, will Compton and other unnamed skins. Players who played for other coaches say they do not. Patrick Mahomes didn’t. CT said Shannahan didn’t. Will compton said he’s never seen it and he’s played for other teams.

B Mitch needs to name some current successful coaches that do ... otherwise he is just guessing and assuming they do. B Mitch said he got reps as the 3rd and 4th string in philly but when asked if that was with 1st team reps he was silent.

I don’t understand what going after one of the true good guys on the team really accomplishes big picture, but ok

B Mitch is pissed off, what else is new

RG3 all over again...when will the front office let football people and coaches run the team and make player decisions? 20 years later and NOTHING has changed

I agree with Gruden. The kid needs time, development, he won’t fix anything, and throwing him in at a time like this could damage him beyond repair.

I can't imagine many teams, if any, can afford to give in season reps to anyone but the starter.

I think before this CBA it was very likely, and with teams that have settled starters, i would think it is possible. But clearly the Skins don't have anything settled.

Is anyone really surprised? As the losses mount the pressure to put in Haskins will only continue to build. Jay wants to win games he could care less about developing a rookie. Once the season is out of reach and his hand is forced that's when Jay will suddenly be all in on Haskins.

Yesterday they were talking about a fan poll on 980 am. At the time it was 52% Haskins, 35% Keenum, 13% McCoy, for preferred starting QB. The shocker to me is Colt polling even that high.

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?

I wonder if you had traded Bill Belichick for Jay Gruden 6 years ago how much would that have changed the teams records? I don't think it would have flipped them but I would imagine Gruden could have turned the 12 win on average Patriots into a 9-10 average win team and Belichick squeezed 9-10 wins out of the Redskins instead of 7. Pretty sure with Bill we wouldn't have players mouthing off constantly and the guys who couldn't stay on the field would not last long.

Doesn’t Bill have personnel decisions in Boston? Here he would have BA choosing players and keeping them regardless of if they were a problem
