If that policy was adopted, refs would never make any calls for fear of making a mistake and being fined. Thats the problem with the whole idea of review, it creates uncertainty in the refs minds and they either dont make calls for fear of being shown to be wrong or they dont over-rule incorrect calls for fear of taking the ruling authority off the field. Like I said, review needs to be scrapped. Let the refs make their on field judgements (right or wrong) and move on.

and TB was not called for an illegal motion penalty on a long pass that turned into a TD.

there are 4 calls that did not go our way. for a total of 17 points if you add them all up. I was arguing the point yesterday that we could not blame the loss on the refs, especially to two point conversion. However, when you add up what was wrong with the calls made, I have switched my opinion. The refs cost us some points and in the end : probably the game. I have never been a person to sit and blame refs for losing games, but 17 freakin points!!!!!
come on that is rediculous.

And, that was the very same sorry officiating crew that messed up that game between Cleveland & Pittsburgh last year. It's just too bad that even when it's demonstrated that they (blew it) it still dosen't have any effect on the outcome of the game. Where's the JUSTICE?

I watched frame by frame and the only thing I could really see was the centers head move and his arms seemed to move back a split second before the 2 cbs came off the line but I still understand how they could have called the guys offsides cuz at full speed that's what it looked like.

I really do not think HOF Coach Gibbs should have any regrets for his comments to the NFL. The calls did not lose this game.

Three turnovers did.

Hard to argue with this line of thinking. All replay does is create more situations for the refs to make bad calls. My only issue with this is that I think replay CAN work ina fashion to help referees and not be seen as workign againstt hem as it is now.

I think you're taking him a little too literal when he says "make the league better". It seems a little short-sighted to say the league is sucessful so they shouldn't do anything to help it improve the onfield product.

True but again the League ought to do whatever they can to eliminate bad calls.

If we miss the playoffs by a game or maybe Tampa wins a tie breaker then would you say the refs didn't cost us the playoffs? We "lost" by 1 point and we were conservatively screwed by 9 points. The Skins did what they had to do to win the game. They didn't play great and didn't finish the Bucs off but they did enough to win by at at least 8 points and the refs were able to affect the score by at least 9 points against us. They have at least as much culpability in the loss as any Redskins does.

100% right. The refs can't be making decisions based on anything but what happens in front of their eyes. Emotion needs to be removed as mucha s possible. I don't think the current system allows for emotion to be removed as fully as it could be either though. You might right about scrapping the whole deal if they can't get it right soon.
