Offensive stats are full of “garbage time” yards and TD’s. Take away the garbage time points and we aren’t very good offensively. Bring in HASKINS!!

Stop.

The offense has surprised everyone who has been paying attention for the last 8 months.

Nobody is saying they are good, but they have exceeded every expectation against two good defenses.

The offense hasn't been great (except the first half of last week's game), but it has played well enough to win ball games. Particularly, if we can cut down on the penalties.

IMO, the defense has been the main culprit in these losses. In the second half of last week's game and from the second quarter of today's game, the defense has been stir fried s**t.

I mean the way Dallas was marching up and down the field today in the second half was reminiscent of a flag football game. Horrible!

I agree with this. They've pleasantly surprised with the ability to put points up (the penalties I have a major problem with though) but at the same time they have scored 2 garbage time stat-padding td's that literally had no outcome on the game.

Also kudos to McLaurin, because he's had a 2 game stretch where he's looked better than Doctson has at any point in his career.

Haven't seen it mentioned by god damn what's up with all the holding penalties this year? Are the coaches that bad at teaching technique or the refs being overzealous?

Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here

The defense was supposed to be our strength this year. I envisioned scenarios where the defense is killing it, the offense is struggling, but the score is like 6-3. Maybe losing Allen and Dunbar WAS that big of a deal? Hard to believe that one player can make that big of a difference.

But let's not kid ourselves, even though the offense is scoring over 20 points (some of those points are garbage time points), the offense is completely unbalanced. You have a future hall of famer in the backfield and you're not using him. You stick with the running game even when it's tough, but you know with AP in the back field, he can break one at any given minute. I think Gruden is digging his own grave by going away from the running game.

Maybe Manusky's defense is more successful if the offense can become a little more ball controlled. But Gruden wants to throw it all over the place. Yes, we have some talent at wide receiver (finally), but you have Adrian Peterson in the backfield for Pete's sake. He's the type of player to take a team on his back. Use him. Establish a ball controlled offense that keeps the other team's offense off the field. And when the time is right, hit Terry M for a huge gainer.

Gruden is going to have to make some changes now. This team is heading toward 1-4.

All that talk from Pam Oliver about Jay Gruden not liking AP because he's a north-south guy, wtf was up with that? If a guy is not a good scheme fit for you, why is he here?

I thought that was bizarre, especially coming right after (or before) AP busted a 5 yarder around the left side. It may just be a polite way of saying that our FO has their heads up their asses.

What’s really odd is AP has been the only good back(statistically) under Gruden.

He had over 1000 yards rushing last year. Gruden is an idiot.

Good coaches find the best way to use the talent they have.

Gruden and Manusky aren't good coaches.

There is plenty of talent on the defense, even with Allen out, to do much better than 60+ points.

Rough patch, Punch. At least all but the Redskins might improve.

Honestly, we are giving up > 30 points and > 475 yards a game. I know the eagles and cowboys have talent, but that’s absurd. If Manusky isn’t gone soon, I’ll be pissed. I realize injuries to Allen, Dunbar, and Moreau aren’t helping, but this group is seriously underperforming.

I’d elevate Tomsula to DC. He’s at least passionate and will motivate guys. Hard to imagine anyone else decent being available to step in.
