It doesn’t matter how much talent we have. If poorly coached you just can’t win. Eventually the players start to play SOFT and it all goes south. The Dolphins are there - they’ve given up and sunk. Don’t be fooled, we’re not far behind them. Players like Scherff are getting “injured” because he knows he’ll be on another team next year. Others will follow.

He has been recognized by every coach he has played for since Iowa as unbelievably tough, even playing the same week as having a surgical procedure on his knee in college. If word got out that he was faking an injury, (which is contrary to his entire football playing history) it would arguably hurt his market value more than being dinged up after the season.
