By the way what does patten being on IR do to our cap, i have never really understood that, do we get his money back or do we pay off the remainder of the year even if he doesn't play or what?

I think they get a reduced base salary for the games their out for being on IR, but no one really mentions it so i have no idea.

Weeell, it's Sunday night. it's after the game. The Redskins lost. And I didn't see anything in Mr. Jacobs that makes me wish he was a starter.

I had the same reaction. Sooner or later, it will dawn on all of us that if Taylor Jacobs was worth all the hype he gets, he'd have been starting by now. Gibbs gave him all the opportunities in the world today. Fly pattern after fly pattern, and Jacobs simply could not get separation from otherwise average Raider defensive backs.

However, today was a dreadful showing of the entire offense. So I'm not going to get on his case just yet. If he's non-factor against the Chargers next week, then we're in trouble. Not just because he could be a bust of a second-round pick, but because he's the last receiver left if Thrash's pulled hamstring turns out to be serious. The rest are just practice squad guys.
