Re: Jay Gruden fired
Only is the Skins paid him a mega contract. And even then it doesn't seem worth it for him since he already has $.
From what I have heard, Meyer's team culture is centered on religion and God. That might work in college but I don't see that flying in a pro locker room. |

I don’t actually believe that religion plays any part in locker room culture. Not at a level that it makes a difference. May be a few guys who get inspired by it. Im just sayin that being religious doesn’t hinder it. |

I don’t think Urban uses religion as the core of team culture anymore than Gibbs did. Regardless I just don’t think religion plays a part at all. Anyway listening to the radio and i dont think i have to wish for Gruden to bring Snyders ineptitude to the fore front. All i hear on numerous stations is that nothing will change until he is gone. Fuckin guy. |

Gibbs made his life priorities known; God, family, then football. He was a guy who lived it, not just talked about it. He was never confrontational or demeaning. He knew he was coaching grown men. But he absolutely held himself out as a quiet example. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Zorn they said did divide the rocker room with religion. Guys like Antwaan Randle-El who prayed everyday w Zorn got treated differently. Sherman Smith would do daily sermons? https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...er-room-102115 |

His entire existence and life philosophy is based on his religion. The difference is he treated everyone as an individual rather than a member of a certain group He was a quiet example always willing to talk but never pushy or condescending. Portis is quoted in the link saying as much. Discounting Gibbs belief in God and how it affected his coaching of men is nothing short of re-writing history. He has been interviewed many, many times about it. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Re: Jay Gruden fired
he's a college coach, not NFL. That rarely works.
Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carroll are the exceptions. Nick freaking Saban couldn't make it in the league
