Scherff is not going to resign for the redskins. He’s not in negotiations anymore. Why stay? The Redskins offered him a modest pay increase contract. Scherff can go elsewhere and:

1. Get a bigger contract
2. Play for potentially winning team
3. Play for a team that is better coached, better managed and has far less chaos and more stability.

of course the redskins can franchise tag him but the result will still be the same as Cousins. No I’m not smoking anything, but it’s time to face facts regarding Scherff. He will not be a redskins next year. Except for Kerrigan the redskins have a poor record for retaining their best players. Call it the “Bruce Allen effect”. Lol

Scherrf isn't t in negotiations because the CBA expires and his agent thinks the OL values are going to be better in the next one. There was an article awhile ago that said as much. I imagine googling scherff cba would find it.
