I think what pains me most is that we’re down to hating on players, especially young ones. Some of them may be true NFL busts, but we’ll never know in this organization, because there is no player development and no coaching.

The old rule was give it 3 years to judge a draft pick, for good reason. Not everybody can walk into the league and dominate from day one. Nobody gets that luxury around here, because guys want to see instant results to figure out if we need to get a replacement next year. |

I do agree with you on this take. I've stated on numerous occasions that I'm all about giving Haskins (and even Sweat) time to mature. My point is I believe Haskins may need to sit the remainder of the season because there seem to be quite a few holes in his game and he could potentially pick up (or continue) bad habits if he sees too much time on the field this season. I still believe any rookie deserves, at the least, 3 years before making a judgement on the player. |
