I don't think you can put all our woes and losses on the defense. Granted, they have made a fair number of mistakes, particularly with respect to the long ball (as you pointed out). However, they scored more points than our offense last week.

Moreover, our offense has been inconsistent this year. In the Bears, Cowboys, Giants, and Raiders game they looked awful. Against the Broncos, Chiefs, Seahawks, and Eagles they looked decent. Against the Bucs and 49ers they looked real sharp. The way I see it, they've had as many bad days as good ones. We need consistency on both sides of the ball (and the good kind of consistency).
