If we could trade down a few spots and say get Simmons and a T,CB, or WR, and then a 2nd I'd do it. Not only that whose to say we couldn't trade back to 5 and then to 7 for more. Not saying its going to happen but it is an option. I just wouldn't want to go back anymore than that.
It has been - what - 25 years since the Patriots at an early first round pick? Yes, they have a habit of trading the 32nd pick of the first round for the 10th pick in both the 2nd and 3rd, but that really doesn't compare to trading the #2 pick when Chase Young is on the board, does it?

The Patriots have a system based on having the NFL’s greatest QB OF ALL TIME play for them for 20 years. He ALWAYS played for salaries below what he is worth, in order to help the team. Because they are a perennial winner, they yearly have high-quality players flocking to the Patriot on a short-term, under-paid contracts in order to win a SB ring. They are a highly disciplined teams and because they always win, it’s “their way or the highway”. Most player are dumped at age 30. Now Let’s see how they will do without the NFL’s greatest. QB. I could stand for them to go through the kind of suck azz seasons most teams experience regularly.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?

In order for that to happen the Dolphins would have to give up all their first rounders to move up a few spots. That would never ever happen. Miami's in a good spot. If I were them I may not even take Tua. They can go w/ Fitz and pick up Winston and they're going to do some damage in the AFC East.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

I can see it now, someone on draft night will be disappointed we take Young instead of trading down

You're probably right. Most discussions on here seem to be about 40/40, with about 20% either on the fence or happy either way.

I would be fine with CY, but I would also be fine if they traded down to fill more holes, as long as it's a fair trade and they don't get fleeced...

I won't be , Chase is great but I also wouldn't be mad at trading down

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?

after watching the CY highlight reel i wonder how he will do against NFL OT's. I'm all for taking a chance on his talent because he looks great, I just guess my eye test didn't leave me as BLOWN AWAY as some other folks. Although, it was my first time peeping the video so a 2nd look is needed. I
d be ok with trading down as long as the haul is well worth it, otherwise, you don't pass on a von miller type.
