Foster is a big concern. He isn't close to being able to play yet and there's no way to know if he'll be able to play at the same level when he returns. If he recovers fully, he should make a big difference at LB.

Will Compton was 6'1, 238 pounds, and ran a 4.52 at the combine. Holcomb is 6'1, 231 pounds, and ran a 4.51 at the combine.

I agree he'll get better and he'll of course get stronger. But Compton got exposed in coverage and so will Holcomb in 1-1 matchups against good TEs. It might not be a speed issue, either, it could be a matter of quicks and lack of length.

He's got good instincts and can knife in occasionally to the ballcarrier. But he can't shed blocks and will struggle against bigger TEs who have speed. Don't get me wrong, he can contribute, but I think guys like them serve well in depth roles. I want my LBs longer and more athletic to keep up with today's TEs.
