Re: Offseason: Around the NFL

This was to be expected. The rumors on twitter a few weeks ago said that at some point after July 4th, the NFL was expected to formally cancel the entire 2020 season and playoffs.

I think they are trying to let people down as gently as possible. They probably know now that there is no way to have a season. We are at 50K cases a day now. Probably in a month from now that number is 100K - 250K. By the end of the year, realistically 1-2 million cases a day, with probably 150k or so daily deaths.

It should calm down a lot after January when the first wave of vaccines start going out to every day people, but i think right now, and in all honesty, the 2021 season is probably in jeopardy at this point and the way things are going.

Man you gotta stop entertaining these Twitter rumors. We're at 50k a day now because jackass governors have decided wearing a mask infringes on one's individual liberty to spread death and disease to everyone else.

McConnell and Pence are already wearing masks and encouraging others to do so too, I guarantee Trump won't be far behind. He'll listen when they start telling him he's jeopardizing his reelection by letting this spread rapidly.

Haha at least you clicked instead of jumping to conclusions. We'll leave that to our resident Giant fan.

Re: Offseason: Around the NFL

The Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes have reached agreement on a 10-year contract extension worth over $400 million total that ties him to Kansas City through the 2031 season, league sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Chiefs picked up Mahomes' fifth-year option for the 2021 season in April, putting him under contract for the next two seasons. Mahomes had two years and $27.6 million left on his existing deal -- $2.8M this year, $24.8M in 2021. The 10-year extension puts him under contract with the Chiefs for the next 12 seasons.

Reminds me of Alex Ovechkins mega long term deal.

Wow, this is huge.

Very smart move by the Chiefs IMO. Mahomes is a once in a generation talent, 40M/y won't seem that much 5 years from now, let alone 12 years.

How sweet is it to have a HoF QB locked down until 2032 ?

With sports science nowadays it's a good bet. Get ahead of the curve. Setting a new precedent.

Aaaah doesn't it feel good to see the Eagles have to deal with sh*t too ?

DeSean Jackson shares anti-semitic fake Hitler quote

Jokes aside, this is beyond stupid...

If your black you can spew anti Semitic hate...yet Drew brees cant express his view about the flag and anthem...which is correct.

They're both catching/caught major flak for their comments, where do you even come up with this nonsense?

I’m glad it’s picking up steam. It should, but I still hear a lot woke losers in the league quiet...They need to speak the fuck up now, if not, their hypocritical ass needs to be called out period.

I have a major issue with anyone tweeting a quote whether it really is or isn't a real quote and attributing it to Hitler and being left off the hook. Of course Philly has a track record of letting their WRs make derogatory comments and not disciplining them properly.

He has a point, there is a double standard on which people can get away with saying racist things in this nation.

Jackson should have been cut ON THE SPOT.

Imagine if a Jewish player said these things about black people...he'd be cut and it would be national news for a month. Malcolm Jenkins would be tweeting angry videos and the league would announce a new way to honor blacks pregame.

You can't even compare Jackson and Brees.

Brees said he's standing up for the flag because his grandfathers fought in the military to protect it. For that "hateful" message, he was forced to apologize and made into some type of monster, and ridiculed by elitists in the media and the real racists in the league. Racism does go both ways.

Jackson was being a pure racist hate monster, quoting Hitler and praising a man in Farahkan who supports terrorism against America.

You mean all of their players...it's been a team full of SJWs for years.
