Why are we even discussing season expectations when they haven't even drafted yet?

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

From cbssports.com:

On Wednesday, Rivera sat down with Kyle Bailey of WFNZ's The Clubhouse to talk football, and he shed some light on what he was thinking about when he made the Allen trade and what he thinks about the quarterback position moving forward.

"Kyle fits what we do. He understands our system," Rivera said of the Allen trade, per Kyle Stackpole of Redskins.com. "Scott Turner is our offensive coordinator, and we're using the system we basically had in place for nine seasons."

Rivera was then asked straight up if Haskins was his starting quarterback - if they were going into training camp believing that, or if Allen would have a chance to compete. "That's what we're going into camp believing, but they're going to compete," responded Rivera. "We really like what we have in terms of our young quarterbacks. Kyle is also a young guy who has a live arm, understands the game, understands how we do things, so I'm excited about what the potential could be."

"At the end of the day, we have a young football team with a young quarterback in position," said Rivera. "We have the chance to set and establish a thing so that's the way we're looking at it."

I like this. I want Haskins to come in full of swag and working his ass off to prove to the older guys/coaches that he is the future. Its up to him to put the work in, seems to be good news on that front so far. He has all the physical talent, time to put the other pieces together. I'm part of his fan club, so I'm very confident he can do it. HTTR!!!

Note - a TE would help lol. Lets go ahead and get like 2 real ones.

Bill Barnwell wrote about the Dunbar trade, and how terrible of a trade it was. Yet not once did Barnwell mentioned Dunbar's health issues.

It's like they are not even trying.

Trade sucked I still agree with that and the reason is, he's a starting CB , you don't find those in the 5th round often..

As for Haskins, We will see how motivated he is because since RR was hired the national media has ripped him not being the QB1

Darius Slay is a 3 time pro bowler and he went for a 3rd and a 5th

Dunbar while good, is always hurt. What did you expect to get for him??

3rd or 4th but I get it the past injuries hurt.. Just sucks losing a CB1 for nothing

Yeah, but you can't write a piece critiquing the trade and omit a big factor that's affecting the players situation, which is health.

If Dunbar had been completely healthy in the past two seasons, we would have either re-sign him or get higher compensation.

Wasn't Dunbar undrafted?

Yeah but he was a WR in college , Jay saw his potential at Corner and he took off. That's a rare situation in fact the only CB that I can recall of being a great late rd guy is Sherman. Unless I'm missing someone.
