He played QB at VT, and has only been playing TE since he came into the league a few years ago.

I agree, probably a JAG. We'll see.

I think their thinking is, the new TE who is supposed to be a solid coach, can coach him up.

Depth is nice. Actual starters with talent would be even better. Right now I think that the offensive line they have assembled will allowed Haskins to get killed.

The interior of the line is solid, LT is definitely a concern and Moses needs to get his shit together. Our backup depth is solid, let’s see what this FA swing tackles can do, maybe one can unseat Moses. We’ll definitely draft a T and TE which are our current weaknesses.

It’s really weird to me we have gone out of our way to get RBs and I hear we are researching RBs in the draft as well...

So who are gonna block for these guys? Why the fuck don’t get a run blocking TE?

Darby is injury prone as hell and not even very good. Obviously a downgrade from Dunbar. I think this team is looking way into the future fir the most part and not trying to reach or break the bank. Im fine with that. Build slowly, and smartly. Do not understand this move.
Build through the draft, do not take on injury prone or sub par players. Depth depth and more depth smartly through free agency. If a young healthy player we could use is there in free agency than go for it. We need corner but one who will be on the field. I feel like they just flushed a few million down the toilet just to save face in free agency.

Yeah, I def think CB is still a very draft-able position if we like someone. I think Fab and obviously Darby will be free agents in 2021.

Disagree that it is obvious. Dunbar had a better 2019 than Darby, yes. Other than that, Darby has been hands down the better player. Not close. Now, will the rest of their careers be like 2019, or will they be more like their careers as a whole. Could go either way, really, but the answer is far from being obvious, IMO.

Agreed. He's 2 years removed from a SB win where he played pretty damn good. What has Dunbar achieved to date aside from a PFF grade that probably overvalued him. He looked like he had potential 2 years ago and did improve but he isn't exactly all pro material. I suspect we've swapped an equivalent player who doesn't want to be here with one who does.
