I could not image living like that at any cost, and it is as expensive as hell.
I'm spoiled on the west coast, but I went there in 2007 in August. I was not prepared. It was so fucking humid. I was walking around downtown New York City in a wifebeater. And it was so damn humid I didn't care.

There are a shit ton of people there. You have to have a certain mindset to be able to live there (if you weren't raised there). I definitely don't have it.

I'm originally from the bay area, and San Francisco is a mini NYC. I could never live there. To me its insane, but people there seem to love it.

It takes all kinds I guess.

When I lived in Riverside I probably made a trip to San Fran every one to two years from 1996-2010 (When I moved East). I know the locals make fun of the tourists that hit the pier 39 area, but I always liked The Saloon and that museum full of old arcade games that you can still play. Of course who doesn't like all those obnoxious seals on the docks and those old boats.
It may be crowded, but nothing like the NYC area. The NYC area had me saying FTS, never again.
