Trent Williams ends season-long holdout, rejoins Redskins

[SkinzWin]

@BurgundyBlog The following is a fringy, unconfirmed rumor, so take it FWIW. I'm told by a new source with a convincing connection to the #Browns that a trade for Trent Williams is "done," with #Redskins expected to receive a 3rd or 4th in 2020 and a 2nd in 2021.

Just saw that too, I guess that is a solid compensation

Only sane deal on Twitter I’ve seen all night. Fanboys wilding out with some acid trip level theories about a trade. Glad when this is over. Hopefully imminently.

I could live with this ...

Picks next year, after RR has a year with this team, and considering how abbreviated the contact with this draft class has been for all teams, could prove to be better for us in the long run.

And .. as has been said many times here ... we're looking at more than a one year turn around.

This is fantastic to me. The 2nd next year will be awesome. Make it happen.

Agreed. Very happy if this is true. We could totally transform this franchise in the 20 and 21 drafts. Also, Trent is gone. His stint in Cleveland will be interesting if this goes through.

Cleveland has amazing sports fans. I hope the Browns are good. I don't think Trent handled this situation very well at all. But he's one of my favorite players ever and we were 3-13 last year. Even if you give him an amazing 2 win swing, we're still 5-11. So he didn't really cost us anything and we moved on from Gruden and Smithers to a much better 1/2 combo with Rivera/Smith.

That's probably why he led with "fringy, unconfirmed"
